Tone of voice is a dataset, not a PDF
Brand books describe a voice. Models need examples of it. How we turn forty pages of guidelines into training data.
01 — Why the brand book does not transfer
“Confident but never arrogant” is a useful sentence for a human copywriter and a useless one for a model. It contains no examples, no counter-examples and no boundary — three things a system needs before it can imitate anything.
02 — What we collect instead
Twenty to fifty pieces the company is happy to be judged by, the same number it would never publish, and a short note on what separates them. That contrast teaches far more than the adjectives do.
03 — How it is checked
Every piece of generated content goes back to the person who owns the voice, and their edits become the next round of examples. The brand book still matters — it is the argument for why the examples look the way they do.
